Instagram influencer Sumner Stroh seemingly responded Tuesday shortly after Adam Levine refuted her allegations that they had an extramarital affair.
“Give this man a dictionary,” Stroh wrote on her Instagram story.
Hours earlier, Levine, the lead singer of Maroon 5, spoke out about Stroh’s allegations in a viral TikTok video that has been viewed more than 18 million times since she posted it Monday.
Levine admitted in a statement to his Instagram story that he had “crossed a line” and “used poor judgment by talking to anyone other than my wife in ANY flirtatious way.”
“I haven’t had an affair, yet I crossed the line at a deplorable period of my life,” he wrote. “In some cases it became inappropriate. I have addressed that and taken proactive steps to remedy this with my family.”
The singer has been married to Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo since 2014. They have two daughters aged 4 and 5. Prinsloo recently announced that he is pregnant with their third child.
In Stroh’s version, she and Levine saw each other for about a year. She accused him of contacting her after they stopped talking to ask if he could name his next baby after her.
“I had an affair with a man who is married to a Victoria’s Secret model. At that time I was young, I was naive,” she said.
She showed screenshots of alleged Instagram exchanges with Levine in which the singer appeared to have written her DMs such as “it’s really unreal how fucking hot you are” and “you’re 50 times hotter in real life”.
She also shared a screenshot of the alleged message he sent months later, which read: “Okay, serious question. I’m having another baby and if so [a] Boy, I really want to call it Sumner. Do you think that’s okay? Dead serious.”
She insisted she never intended to come forward with the story, but did so after a friend she sent the screenshot to tried to sell it to a tabloid.
She claimed in a follow-up video shared later on Monday that she entered into the relationship because Levine had given her the impression that his marriage to Prinsloo was over.
“I believed they kept it quiet to avoid the negative press,” she said. “I realize very well that I am not a victim in this. I’m not the one really getting hurt here. It’s Behati and her kids and I’m so sorry.”
